Sequel
The first album from Londons 70's Funk/Soul band. Although most of the members originated from Jamaica. All very talented and all with a peaceful message, the band members call it 'Nayah Rock'. I'd say this album reflects their beliefs and dedications to harmony, sounds gay but they really are quite fresh in the approach. Sampled by Hip Hop Hippies De La Soul and most recently Kinobe, check the cover of 'Dove' on 'Soundphiles'.
Discovered and produced by John Schroeder(there's that name again). The second album from the Nayah Rock Rasta's, again some very smooth Funk/Soul, so very worth listening to. Cymande definitely take on the vibe of Raggae and cross the music into Funk.
And on to the third album from Cymande. You can take too much of one band but you don’t here, although the originality is not consistant for this album it's still worth everything, if not just for 'Brothers On The Slide'.
Axelrod's career goes way back. This is the latest addition to his already bulging CV. In the usual Axelrod cinematic, jazz, rock, soul, gospel style, what else could we include that he has'nt. Working with artists suich as Lou Rawls through to John Austin, aka Ras Kass, hip hop vocalist. True masterpiece.
