Hustle on Up
Hidden Strength

A fat disco booty shaker, sweaty in its groove and nothing cheesy about it. We could be very picky about buying our disco records, so we don't really buy that many, but this has got a pretty rare groove to it. Soul Brother have just re-released the Hidden Strength album containing 'Hustle On Up' and other good titles. Check the 'find out more' link provided.
The brothers also includes a sister for the vocals on 'Power Struggle, all in all, quite a raw track in production, whilst the flip 'Just Plain Funk', is a much more smoothed out down-tempo number.
Excellent style. This record has just taken us further into appreciating Lee Fields. It holds a tight rhythms with a lovalee funky bass lines, really takes you into the groove. Super slick vocals and good for the beats. One for every day use.
B/W 'East Coast Rapper' Instrumental Hammond based tune, bit more of a boogie style funk with the Hammond performing the vocals, as I say Lee Fields has it on the vocal side but you don't miss them in here. It's just too damn entertaining. Such a good record!
